Short phrases and a complete template for a clearer consultation.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Use a photo alongside simple phrases for your current product, desired length, shape, design and total price. These English–Vietnamese prompts are conversation aids, not technical instructions. Ask the salon to confirm the full service and appointment in writing; a translated phrase alone is not a booking.

Start with your current nails

“I already have gel colour” can be written as “Móng của tôi đang có sơn gel.” If you are unsure, use “Tôi không rõ loại sản phẩm đang có trên móng” — “I do not know which product is on my nails.” Add a photo rather than relying on translation to identify a material.

Describe the result

“Tôi muốn giữ độ dài móng hiện tại” means “I want to keep my current nail length.” “Tôi muốn nối móng” means “I would like nail extensions.” If you want a specific shape, attach a clear reference and point it out instead of assuming a shape name is understood in exactly the same way.

Ask about the total

“Tổng giá đã bao gồm tháo sơn cũ và mẫu này chưa?” asks whether the total includes removal of the old colour and this design. If your existing product is not ordinary colour, explain that separately. “Mẫu này tính theo từng móng hay cả bộ?” asks whether the design is priced per nail or per set.

Confirm time and place

“Dịch vụ này dự kiến mất bao lâu?” asks how long the service is expected to take. “Bạn xác nhận giúp tôi địa chỉ chi nhánh và giờ hẹn nhé” asks the team to confirm the branch address and appointment time. Use a full date and local time.

Keep the reply

Save the accepted appointment, service and address. If you change the design later, ask for an updated price and duration. These phrases help you ask a question; the salon’s reply is what establishes whether it can provide the service.

Questions before you book

Can a translated message confirm my booking automatically?

No. Wait for the salon to accept the service, time and location.

What if I do not know my current product?

Say that you are unsure, send photos and ask the salon to assess it.

Should I translate every technical product name?

It is better to keep the exact brand or service name you were given and share it with a photo. Do not invent a translation.
